About Us
Optima is an independent Kuwait based technical and commercial advisor to the upstream oil and gas industry as well as marine engineering business.
Established in 2006 by Mr. Mousa Marafi, an experienced Kuwaiti oil and gas professional and technically supported by two other shareholding partners: AWT and Genesis, Optima is the first Kuwaiti petroleum consulting company providing independent and fully integrated oil & gas exploration, development, production and management solutions to oil & gas companies in the Middle East from the reservoir.
Optima expanded its services in 2008 to provide high quality and cost effective Marine Engineering Consultancy services which include Operation and Management of Crude and Product oil tankers, LNG & LPG tankers, offshore support vessels & specialist vessels e.g. Seismic, Offshore Floaters, FPSO’s etc..

As an Upstream oil & gas and Marine Engineering consulting company in the Middle East, we are gradually building our professional staff in order to establish a team of professionals based in Kuwait capable of meeting the majority of engineering, economics and management requirements, albeit still with the opportunity to access the expertise of our partners to augment our services.
