Training

training Through the experience of delivering high quality Engineering services to the clients, Optima & partners have developed a significant number of recognised industry training programmes either in-house or through associations with specialised training organisations. These courses are characterised by their practical engineering nature as well as their theoretical content.

The courses are presented by highly competent lecturers, each of whom has significant experience gained working for an operating and/or service company.

Our course presenters have an established reputation in teaching petroleum engineering ranging from basic introductory courses up to University Masters degree level. In addition, most of the lecturers retain a fully operational role as practicing engineers involved in our current consulting projects.

A major guiding philosophy behind Optima training courses has been to make them relevant and of practical use for the purpose of developing the engineers / operators. Each Optima Training course therefore features a number of worked examples, which vary from hand calculations to the use of spreadsheets and interactive software packages. The result is that each attendee goes away from the course with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, the ideal prerequisite for joining a new team or taking on new responsibility in today’s increasingly multidisciplinary environment.

Some examples of training course that can be conducted include (but not limited to):
  • Reserves evaluation / reporting.
